Hey All, 
Just a quick update again for you all which see's the lua side scripting approach to attachment to entities and bones working. Also terraiins will export and run in the end game correctly again.
Anyway, check out the changelog:

New:

  • New: Viewport Navigation: Skyline now has support for AZERTY Keyboards.
  • New: Viewport Navigation: Skyline will choose AZERTY automatically if you have a french locale.
  • New: Viewport Navigation: The Editor Properties have a new tab for control of the viewport and key inputs. Choose between QWERTY and AZERTY
  • New: Sky Library
    • delta = sky.getWheelDelta() -- This returns the delta value from the wheel being spun in whole integer numbers.

Updated:

  • Updated: Lua: entity.attach(parent, child) now attaches the entities correctly and frees them off at stop game.
  • Updated: Lua: entity.detach(parent, child) now works as expected.
  • Updated: Lua: bone.attach(parent, child) for arguments 4 > 9 are now optional and will default to zero if not passed.
  • Updated: Lua: bone.attach(parent, child) now works as expected.
  • Updated: Lua: bone.detach(parent, child) now works as expected.
  • Updated: Action Editor: Removed "Entity Offset" from the list as it is depreciated in favour of the new attach detach in scene entity list
  • Updated: Action Editor: Removed "Entity - Attach" from the list as it is depreciated
  • Updated: Action Editor: Removed "Entity - Attach To Bone" from the list as it is depreciated
  • Updated: Action Editor: Removed "Attach Weapons Action" from the list as it is depreciated

  • Updated: Action: Attach Armour Action will no longer work and throw a print in console.
  • Updated: Terrain Serialisers: Upgrade file version to a single number for easier differentiation between newer and older files.
  • Updated: Terrain Serialisers: The XML now stores the converted filenames as well as the actual names of the textures used. For resource collection.

Fixed:

  • Fixed: Isolate project button in the menu was labelled Isolate Projert
  • Fixed: Spawned presets at runtime were crashing skyline.
  • Fixed: Binary Presets that were dragged from the asset manager would not drag to the correct location
  • Fixed: XML Presets that were dragged from the asset manager would not drag to the correct location
  • Fixed: JSON that were added to the end game as loose files did not get read correctly. Now they work just as well as zip or pak files.
  • Fixed: End Game: The terrains when loaded were crashing the game due to Terrain shadows not loaded correctly.
  • Fixed: Resource collecting a scene that had terrain would not grab the normal or roughness texture resource groups.
  • Fixed: End Game: Certain textures would not load on the terrain due to the conversion name missing from when the game was made in the editor.

 

Note: If you are on Pro or Studio Pro and skyline fails to update, then please go to "C:\Users\$(Username)\AppData\Roaming\Aurasoft UK\" and delete the folder called "SkylineSDK"
